About
Welcome to Mariscos El Culichi, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Omaha at 2229 Leavenworth St. Known for its authentic Sinaloan seafood, this restaurant has quickly become a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike. The vibrant flavors and generous portions make it a must-try for anyone who appreciates fresh, high-quality meals.
At Mariscos El Culichi, the culinary offerings stand out impressively. Customers rave about the shrimp tacos, which defy the typical lunchtime expectations. T. Marshall, a satisfied diner, remarked on the substantial portion sizes and the vibrant taste that left a lasting impression. It’s a testament to the kitchen's commitment to crafting dishes that not only fill the belly but also ignite the senses.
Ceviche lovers are in for a treat here! Christopher Hupka praised the ceviche as some of the best he's ever encountered, comparing it to the culinary standards found in Sinaloa, Mexico. The attention to detail in every ingredient, from the fresh chips to the sturdy tostadas, showcases a dedication to authenticity. Each bite transports you to coastal Mexico, where seafood reigns supreme.
The restaurant's ambiance complements its stellar cuisine. The staff at Mariscos El Culichi are noted for their friendliness and attentiveness. They take the time to explain the menu, including unique options like the bear's kiss roll, a novel take on sushi that Scott Burger found delightful and distinctly different from the usual fare.
Whether you are craving Mexican sushi or traditional dishes with a twist, Mariscos El Culichi promises an enjoyable dining experience. The combination of quality, quantity, and the warm hospitality creates a welcoming atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. If you find yourself in Omaha, make sure to carve out some time to indulge in the authentic flavors of Mariscos El Culichi. You’ll agree it’s worth the detour!

“ Wow what a nice surprise. Mexican sushi! We had the bear's kiss. Delicious! Different from any other sushi. We also had the mango shrimp ceviche, a more traditional dish, also excellent. The staff was attentive and carefully explained the menu. An enjoyable experience. ”
“ All 3 of us ladies ordered off lunch menu, shrimp tacos. Expected mediocre since it was lunchtime. WRONG!!! They were amazing and so much food, needed "to-go" containers. I will drive way out off my way when in Omaha to eat here! ”
“ My parents have been coming here since they first opened up and we go back at least once a month. The food is amazing and the service is even better at an affordable price for quality food. I couldn't recommend this place more. Besides, who doesn't like tacos and sushi? Best mix possible ”
“ Waitress was friendly.... Food was filling quality I'll leave it up to you ..... ”
“ Quality & Quantity! This is a gem - every plate is heaping with flavor and the staff are friendly. The chips and salsa are great! ”
“ Probably some of the best seafood in Omaha. The ceviche was some of the best I've ever had. I've personally never been to Sinoloa but you can definitely taste the authenticity and true to taste cooking in the food here, from the chips to the salsa to the wheat tostadas designed to hold up with ceviche on top. Being in Nebraska I would recommend asking which is a whole fish as this may be a turn off to some. Excellent service and experience overall! ”
